IRAN CLAIMS IT CAPTURE U.S DRONE

Iran claims it captured U.S. drone December 03, 2012 TEHRAN Iran's state TV says the country's Revolutionary Guard has captured a U.S. drone after it entered Iranian airspace over the Persian Gulf. A report Tuesday from Iran's Fars news agency quotes the Guard's navy chief, Gen. Ali Fadavi, as saying the "intruding" dronewas captured, but gave no further details on the location or when the incidentoccurred. The report says the craft isa ScanEagle drone, which it describes as "a small, low-cost, long-endurance unmanned aerial vehicle built by Insitu, a subsidiary of Boeing." Iran claimed in 2011 that it brought down a CIA spy drone after itentered Iranian airspace from its eastern borders with Afghanistan and Pakistan. Tehran later said it recovered data from the RQ-170 Sentinel, a top-secret drone equipped with stealth technology.
